Edda is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapist (TIYT), Reiki Master and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. She works for the Federal Health Care Center, serving veterans and active duty personnel with mental health conditions and PTSD since 2013. Edda uses her extensive training and experience as a yoga therapist in the medical setting to reduce patients’ stress and induce deep relaxation using yoga postures, breathing exercises and meditation techniques accessible to all patients; to help patients learn techniques to manage their moods and symptoms of some psychiatric disorders; to support patients in the renegotiation of trauma and other overwhelming moments; to help patients with gentle but vital yoga postures to relax and reduce stress levels; to help patients learn techniques for chronic pain management; and to increase patients’ knowledge of their own bodies and breathing, and teach them how to increase their Well Being.
